The opening of the guinguettes marks the start of the return of fine weather! They spring up in large numbers along the banks of the Loire and Cher rivers and are the scene of cultural and gastronomic discoveries for everyone to enjoy.

Always unexpected!
La Guinguette de Tours sur Loire is THE festive event for Touraine residents. Concerts, plays, wine tastings, workshops, "boum du dimanche"... Each summer the agenda is full of the surprises! Take in the different atmospheres along the quays: the colorful Chez Dupont guinguette, the main Guinguette with its eclectic program, the Bar à Mômes for families and the "rock" bar Le Foudre.

This guinguette awaits you on the banks of the Loire, at the foot of the Rochecorbon hillside. Its parquet floor has seen generations of dancers come and go! Come and dance the night away, or enjoy an aperitif-concert every Saturday. The Le Canotier restaurant serves grilled meats, salads and small fried dishes. And don't forget pétanque, volleyball and children's outdoor games at nearby Lulu Parc.

Nature and discovery!
A little haven of peace on the banks of the Lac du Cher at Saint-Avertin, the Port Avertin open-air café offers family fun all summer long. Laze around at the water’s edge or dance at the open-air dance floors, or at rock, pop, folk and electronica concerts. Open-air cinema, improv theatre, creative workshops and daily games for children round off the fun. Small electric barges for rent on the Cher river for fun and games on the water.

For over ten years, this mobile guinguette has been setting up shop on the banks of the Cher River in Savonnières. 100% home-cooked cuisine using organic and local produce, and a wide range of entertainment.

Twilight Ride with the Bateliers of Saint-Etienne-de-Chigny

This 2-hour sunset excursion is an invitation to let yourself go and (re)connect with the natural environment of the Loire. It's a magical moment when you let yourself be carried away by the current and the light offered by the sunset, which is also the best time to discover the birds and, if you're lucky, the opportunity to see this discreet and unknown animal: the European beaver! So don't forget to bring your twins along!
