Covering some forty hectares, this "green lung" is ideal for outdoor activities (kites, bicycles, games, etc.) and for discovering and learning about nature. The experimental and educational vegetable garden tells the story of the relationship between man and plants over the centuries.
To maintain this area, the principle of differentiated management has been applied and is the subject of experimental measures based on respect for the environment. The plain is also the venue for a number of major annual events, including the Vegetable Garden Festival, the Farmers' Festival, the Kite Festival and music festivals.
Throughout the year, the plain is also a venue for school and extra-curricular events focusing on gardening and the environment.
