At dusk, a special atmosphere descends, inviting you to relax or party, depending on your mood. Here are a few suggestions for visiting Tours by night and enjoying colourful evenings and shows... illuminated by lights! And don't forget this list of unique spots to check out as much as you like!
Tours en side-car
The Tours Loire Valley Tourist Office and the City of Tours invite you to take part in some exceptional themed night-time tours! At dusk, the city's monuments and urban spaces are illuminated by the "Parcours Lumiere" light displays, for a stroll to discover its emblematic sites and the heritage of Tours.
On foot or on bike with a guide, by tuk-tuk or sidecar, choose the tour that's right for you!
And if you're more interested in nature and birdsong than monuments and culture, opt for a traditional boat trip on the Loire at dusk. Escape and relaxation guaranteed!
All summer long, the châteaux of the Loire Valley will be offering a host of surprises and night-time events to help you (re)discover history by moonlight. Here's a small selection from the Tours Val de Loire Tourist Office!
... and many more! Stay tuned on our event calendar!

Tours riverside guinguette
La Plage, Le Bar à Mômes, Le Foudre, the main open-air café, and Chez Dupont… Just a few meters apart, these spots come together to form a true summer village along the banks of the Loire river. You can move from one atmosphere to another as the mood strikes: concerts, theater, dance workshops, gatherings centered on food or the environment… Here, summer is in full swing from morning until late at night.

La Belle Vue rooftop
Brand-new and stunning, this rooftop bar was created through the renovation of the former Saint-Gatien Clinic. It’s THE place to be this summer to share tapas and raise a glass while enjoying a view of the cathedral and the rooftops of Tours at sunset! On the ground floor, you’ll find a food court that feels like a gourmet market.
Open daily from 10:00 a.m. • 8, place de la Cathédrale in Tours • labellevue-tours.fr
What if we told you that an open-air café, set up in a former railway warehouse just 10 minutes from Tours, offers palm trees, food trucks, an in-ground pool, and chill house DJ sets for laid-back evenings? That’s the concept behind “Soleil Plage,” the summer extension of the “Le Soleil” open-air café, which until now had only been open in the winter… The perfect spot to feel like you’re on vacation just a stone’s throw from home.
June 4–September 13 • Open Thursday through Sunday • 9000 Rue de la Grange Quillet, Saint-Pierre-des-Corps • lesoleil.bar
