With its 37-meter-tall keep, the Royal Citadel of Loches towers over the town and invites you on a journey back in time! Once a seat of power, it consists of two castles: the keep built by Foulques Nerra, Count of Anjou, and the royal residence with its Renaissance architecture. The latter has hosted “historical figures” such as Joan of Arc, Agnès Sorel, and Anne of Brittany.
